Early life
Ashlyn Harris, from her young age she has been playing football. She used to play football from the boys’ soccer team until the age of 14. She played for Palm Ranger and South Brevard united before playing for the Seminole Ice girls team.
Harris attended the Satellite High school in Satellite Beach. She played from the High school team and won the state championship titles in her sophomore and junior year in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 she was named Gatorade Player of the Year and 2004 NSCAA Player of the Year. She was named to four consecutive Parade All-American soccer teams, which is for women players for the first time. In her carrier, she recorded 50 shutouts in Satellite High School and had a 0.29 goals-against average in 65 games. In 2004 she graduated from Satellite High School with a 3.8 GPA.
Career
Harris played for the University of North CarolinaTar Heels for 2006 to 2009. During her practice in Tar Heels, she shattered her thumb while warming up. She had gone under surgery, and she was kept on the bench until the summer. In 2005, during her practice, she tore her right anterior cruciate ligament, which kept her out for the entire season. After her recovery, she joined Tar heels for course, but unfortunately, she tore her left anterior cruciate ligament during a training camp with the U-21 Women’s National Team in June 2006. Luckily, she makes it back in time for the 2006 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament in November as a substitute in every game, which was the coach’s strategy.
In 2007, she was injured and diagnosed with a torn labrum in her right hip, which occurred during a goal kick but did not miss any game. Again her coach Anson Dorrance used the previous strategy. Harris played as a substitute and only played first or second half game by using her left leg as mostly to prevent the pain. They lost the 2007 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament on November 24, 2007. Even though she was perfectly fine in 2008, her coach employed Harris in the two-goalkeeper system and Rodenbough. In the 2009 season, she did not share the position with other players.
Club career
Ashlyn Harris started her club career on April 16, 2009. She signed with Pail Blues of the W-League. Harris made five appearances in the 2009 season, and Pail Blues won the W-League Championship with a 2–1 win over the team Washington Freedom in the final. On January 5, 2010, Harris was selected for the 19th pick in the 2010 WPS Draft by Saint Louis Athletica of Women’s Professional Soccer. Harris got a chance to train alongside Hope Solo, a star goalkeeper of the United States women’s national team.
Sadly, Harris could not have appeared in any game because Saint Louis got dissolution due to financial problems. Harris became a free agent on June 1. On June 2, 2010, she signed with Washington Freedom. She played for Washington freedom for one year and appeared in nine games.
In 2011 she was signed by the Western New York Flash. Her debut match in Western New York Flash was with Boston Breaker on April 7, 2011. She appeared in eighteen games and allowing eighteen goals for the Western New York flash. In 2011 she was named the 2011 Coast Guard Goalkeeper of the Year. She got transferred from Western New York Flash and signed with FCR 2001 Duisburg, a German women football team. She made eight appearances for FCR 2001 Duisburg.
Harris was signed for Washington Spirit in January 2013. She made eighteen appearances for Washington Spirit, and she made 82 save, and she had a 72% save percentage. In the same year, July 2013, she joined Tyreso FF, which is a Swedish club.
She made seven appeared in the Damallsvenskan, which is the highest division of women’s football in Sweden.
Again on January 3, 2014, Harris joined Washington Spirit for the 2014 season. She made 19 appearances. She played for Washington Spirit for two years. But in the 2015 season, she missed nearly half of the game due to commitments with the United States (US) women’s national team at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Harris signed in Orland Pride on October 20, 2015. She played 63 games and still in Orland Pride, and she was NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year in 2016.

International career
In 2000 Ashlyn made a debut in the international game, where she represented the United States as a member of the U-16, U-17, and U-19 teams. She joined in the under-19 national team in 2001 and appeared in 39 games. Harris completed her u-19 career in 2005 with 39 caps.
She was part of the senior national team but was not in playing set for a long time. But she finally got the chance to play in the national team against Sweden, which ended in a draw on 1-1. From 2013 to till now, she made her international appearance in 25 games.

Personal Life
Harris is known for her styling, tattoo, and has professed to pursue fashion, music, surfing, and skateboarding. Harris is a fist female brand ambassador of Umbro, which is an English sportswear and football equipment supplier. Previously she was sponsored by Nike. She is an activist, and Harris has spoked and kept her stands in various acts. Harris spoked about the problem faced by female athletes and to improve their pay and conditions. She spooked freely about her depression, aggression, and Adderall addiction as a youth and young adult aware of mental health and addiction.
Harris has been in the relationship with Ali Krieger, who is also a professional women football player. They two got married on December 28, 2019, in Miami after announcing their engagement through people Magazine.

Harris was featured in the EA Sports’ FIFA video game series in FIFA 16 and her national team, which was the first time in FIFA game to feature women players.
After winning the 2015 world cup Harries and her national teammates were honored with a Ticker tape parade in New York City. Each player received the key to the city from Mayor Bill de Blasio. President Barack Obama praised the team at the White House for winning the 2015 world cup.
