Lynn Williams attended Pepperdine University from 2011 to 2014, where she played for the Pepperdine Waves. During her freshman year, Williams appeared in 20 games and scored six goals with eight assists. She was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Freshman of the Year. Along with this, Williams earned many honors, including NSCAA All-West Region second team, the WCC All-Freshman team, Soccer America Freshman All-American first team, and All-WCC second team.

As a sophomore in 2012, Lynn Williams led the Pepperdine Waves ranked third on the team. she scored her first hat trick on 23 October 2012. In season 2013, Williams started the first 15 matches of the season with 11 goals and 3assists. But due to injury, she missed the last few matches. Lynn Williams led the Pepperdine Waves in the 22 games during her senior year with 14 goals and ten assists. She was named Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week, WCC Player of the Week, and was the Hermann Trophy’s finalist.

Club Career

Lynn Williams started her club career in the year 2011. She has played for Western New York Flash and in a loan for Western Sydney Wanderers. She is currently playing for the club North Carolina Courage as a forward player.

Western New York Flash, 2015 – 2016

In the 2015 NWSL College Draft, Lynn Williams was selected by the Western New York Flash. She made her first debut for the team in the match against Seattle Reign on 12 April 2015. Williams scored furs goals in the 17 appearances during the season. She was one of the 2016 National Women’s Soccer League season breakout stars and was also awarded Golden Boot and named as the NWSL Best XI and NWSL Most Valuable Player in the season 2016.

North Carolina Courage, 2017 – present

On 9 January, it was announced that Western New York Flash was officially sold and moved to North Carolina and was rebranded as the North Carolina Courage. Lynn Williams scored nine goals for the season 2017 and also won the Shield in 2017. Also, she had a successful season in 2018, as she was twice named Player of the Week and NWSL Second XI.
